Real Estate History

In 1968 the Hamilton City Council established a Real Estate Department, as a lead for ongoing processes that had been occurring with the Corporation that was officially set for disposing of and acquiring much property with the following actions: appropriations, purchases, and tax sales throughout the preceding 120 years that the city was in existence. Two programs of land acquisition were behind the creation of a separate branch of civic government for real estate: during the late 1950s and early 1960s.
